After over 25 years of married life, my wife and I still exchange cards on Valentine’s day and this year was no exception. We do it to show we still love each other. And that made me think…
Do my customers really know how much I love doing business with them and how much I care about giving them the results they expect and indeed exceeding their expectations? Or do I just think they do?
How about you? Do your customer’s really know how much you care? Do you tell them? Do you keep in touch with them on a regular basis? Are you looking out for their best interests? Are you recommending business to them whenever possible? Are you keeping them up to date with the latest news in their sector? What else could you be doing to show them just how much you care?
In today’s economic climate, it’s more important than ever and I believe that most businesses could do a lot more. The truth of the matter is…
It’s never that crowded on the extra mile!
And how about your sales team? Do they know how much they are appreciated.
Here’s an extract from an email I received yesterday which pretty much sums up a not uncommon experience:
“Hope you're well. Entering my sales career just over a year ago, I was helping people improve their lifestyle through the methods of health and fitness. I purchased your book 'How to double your sales in six weeks' at the end of august 2008. By the end of October, I had not only doubled my sales but also doubled everyone else’s in the sales team. With little to no recognition of this from my Sales manager - I realised I was working for the wrong company so took my services elsewhere.”
It’s still possible to Double Your Sales, even in a tough economic climate. If you haven’t read my latest book How To Double Your Sales In 6 Weeks, or seen the How To Double Your Sales DVD, you can order them here.
