One of the biggest mistakes most people make in their search for success

I believe that one of the biggest mistakes most people make in their search for ‘success’ (and there are several others too), is to be focused on achieving what they want to achieve. It is my belief that you will only ever achieve success in any meaningful measure by helping others to achieve what they want to achieve. There are no exceptions. For example:

If you are an architect, you get to achieve what you want to be by creating the buildings that others want to live and work in.

If you are a baker, you get to achieve what you want by baking the finest (or least expensive) bread and cakes.

If you are a caterer, you get to achieve what you want by preparing food that people love to eat.

If you are a sales manager, you get to achieve what you want by helping your sales team achieve what they want.

If you are a salesperson, you get to achieve what you want by helping solve your customer’s problems and improving their circumstances.

If you are a business leader, you get to achieve what you want by helping everyone in your business achieve what they want to achieve.

If you are a small business owner, you get to achieve what you want by supplying your customers with what they want.

If you are a musician, you get to achieve what you want by playing the music your audience loves to listen to.

If you are a production line worker, you get to achieve what you want by helping to produce first class products that your employer and their customers want and strive to find ways to help produce them better and faster.

No matter what it is you do, in any field whatsoever, if you want to achieve more – the same applies.  So who can you help to achieve their goals, today and every day?
